Quetta Gladiators pulled off a remarkable comeback to defeat Karachi Kings by four wickets in their recent match in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023. The result knocked Karachi Kings out of the competition.

Karachi Kings struggled from the beginning of the match, losing wickets at regular intervals due to a fantastic opening spell by Naseem Shah and Aimal Khan. However, Adam Rossington’s excellent half-century and quick contributions by Imad Wasim and Aamer Yamin helped them set a defendable total of 164/6.

In response, Quetta Gladiators also started poorly, but Martin Guptill’s sensational fightback innings, along with Sarfaraz Ahmed’s contribution, allowed them to chase down the target. The win gives Quetta Gladiators a glimmer of hope as they compete for a spot in the top four.

As per the updated PSL 8 points table, Lahore Qalandars remain on top with 12 points after winning six out of seven matches, followed by Islamabad United with 10 points in second place. Multan Sultans sit in third place with eight points, while Peshawar Zalmi sits fourth with six points. Karachi Kings are at the bottom of the table with only four points, and Quetta Gladiators are one position above them with the same number of points but a lower net run rate.

PSL fans will be looking forward to the next matches to see who will be the top four teams to qualify for the playoffs.
