MG U9 Price Revealed as Automaker Officially Unveils Its High-Performance Electric Supercar

After weeks of anticipation following its debut at PAPS 2025, MG has officially announced the price of the U9 pickup truck in Pakistan. Pre-bookings had already begun at Rs. 8 million, but the company had withheld the complete pricing until now. The MG U9 stands out in the current automotive market as MG’s first diesel-powered pickup truck in Pakistan, launched at a time when many global brands are shifting toward electric vehicles. It features a 2.5-liter turbo-diesel engine designed to deliver both power and efficiency for off-road and utility use.

The MG U9 comes equipped with a strong 4×4 drivetrain supported by differential locks, a towing capacity of 3,500 kg, and durable 20-inch alloy wheels. Safety is a major focus, with a 7-airbag configuration and L2-ADAS assistance. Inside the cabin, the pickup offers a refined interior with a 12.3-inch infotainment system and full comfort features such as climate controls and premium seating, making it suitable for both work and daily driving. The combination of rugged capability and premium features positions the MG U9 as a high-end option in Pakistan’s pickup truck segment.

MG has set the U9’s price at Rs. 22,749,000 (ex-factory) for the Explore Pro standard variant. Since the vehicle is a fully imported CBU unit, its pricing will be an important factor when compared with well-established competitors in the local market. The second variant, the Explore Pro + Smart Hatch Option, includes an upgraded smart hatch feature for added convenience and is priced at Rs. 23,949,000, which is Rs. 1,200,000 higher than the standard model.

With pricing now confirmed, the MG U9 enters the market as a premium diesel pickup aimed at customers seeking advanced technology, strong performance, and modern design.
