Pakistan has begun its kinnow export season on a strong note, shipping 6,000 tonnes of the citrus fruit to key markets including the Middle East, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines during the first 10 days of December 2025. Exporters say the early momentum reflects growing international demand and improved readiness across the supply chain at the start of the season.

This year’s target has been set at 300,000 tonnes, supported by a bumper national crop of approximately 2.7 million tonnes. The large harvest gives exporters greater capacity to meet international orders, though the industry is still striving to regain the higher export volumes seen five years ago, before challenges in global logistics and domestic production affected performance.

Even so, the early export numbers indicate a positive outlook for the sector. Strong initial demand, better quality fruit, and improved harvesting and processing timelines are contributing to optimism among growers and exporters as the season progresses.
