Corsair Faces Backlash After Canceling Prebuilt PC Order and Relisting It at Higher Price

Corsair is facing criticism after reports emerged that a confirmed prebuilt PC order was canceled and the same system was later relisted at a significantly higher price. A Reddit user claimed his Corsair Vengeance a5100 order, originally priced at Rs. 981,400, was abruptly canceled, only for the identical configuration to reappear with a new price tag of Rs. 1,205,935, reflecting an increase of Rs. 224,535.

The high-end gaming system includes an AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D processor, an NVIDIA RTX 5080 graphics card, 32GB of DDR5 memory, and a 2TB solid-state drive. While rising DDR5 memory costs were cited by some as a possible reason for the price hike, many users criticized the move as unfair and damaging to consumer trust.

Following the backlash, Corsair responded on Reddit by requesting the customer’s order details to investigate the situation further. However, the company has not yet shared a clear explanation or resolution, leaving uncertainty around how the issue will be handled.
