The Pakistani rupee (PKR) continued its positive streak against the US Dollar (USD) for the 76th consecutive day on Friday, closing at 280.02 after gaining two paisas in the interbank market. The PKR also strengthened against all major currencies during the session, reflecting broad-based gains in the forex market. Against the British Pound, the rupee gained 43 paisas, while it rose 60 paisas against the Australian Dollar. It also posted small but positive movements against regional currencies, ending higher against both the UAE Dirham and the Saudi Riyal. According to interbank data, the PKR closed at 326.14 against the Euro, 376.07 against the British Pound, 187.08 against the Australian Dollar, 68.79 against the Malaysian Ringgit, 40.10 against the Chinese Yuan, 201.80 against the Canadian Dollar, 76.23 against the UAE Dirham, and 74.67 against the Saudi Riyal. The consistent gains highlight ongoing market confidence in the PKR, driven by factors supporting currency stability and improving foreign exchange inflows. Go back |
