The Universal Service Fund (USF) has announced a bidding process for the provision of Next Generation-Broadband for Sustainable Development (NG-BSD) services in a small lot, targeting unserved and underserved communities in selected regions. This initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and improve access to telecommunication services in remote areas, aligning with USF’s mandate.

The tender, labeled NG-BSD/PHASE-34/2026/01, covers one small lot in District Dera Ghazi Khan. Registration for interested bidders closes on January 21, 2026, with bid submission scheduled for February 3, 2026, by 3:00 PM and bid opening at 3:30 PM the same day. The project will be awarded through a reverse auction, granting a subsidy to the successful bidder to support broadband deployment. The contract duration is 10 years, and the bidding follows an open competitive procedure outlined in the official documents.

Eligibility is limited to USF contributors who are active taxpayers, verified through the Active Taxpayers List, and hold valid National Tax Number and Sales Tax registrations. Bidders must also submit a bid bond of Rs. 5 million. Detailed registration instructions, auction procedures, and service requirements are available on the USF website, and bidding documents can be obtained from the USF office after paying a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1,000 per lot. USF reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted after the deadline.
