The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced a significant change in the schedule of compulsory papers for the CSS Competitive Examination starting in 2026. According to an official notice issued by the FPSC, from 2026 onwards, only one compulsory paper will be conducted per day, replacing the previous system where two papers were held on the same day.

The FPSC stated that this adjustment is intended to ease the examination process for candidates and ensure a smoother and more manageable testing environment. The commission emphasized that the revised schedule will help candidates focus better and reduce the pressure associated with attempting multiple papers in a single day.

A detailed timetable for the examination will be uploaded separately on the FPSC website. Candidates have been advised to regularly check the official portal for updates and announcements regarding exam dates, timings, and related instructions.

The public notice was issued from Islamabad on December 17, 2025, and was signed by Zafar Abbas Memon, Director (CE) of the Federal Public Service Commission.
