Punjab Education Boards Announce Matric and Intermediate Examination Schedule

All nine educational boards in Punjab have officially announced the schedule for the 2026 Matric and Intermediate annual examinations, providing clarity for students, parents, and educational institutions across the province. According to an official notification, the examination timetable has been revised in view of the holy month of Ramadan to ensure convenience for students.

Under the updated schedule, the Matric annual examinations will now commence on March 27, 2026, instead of the earlier announced date of March 3. The results of the Matric exams are expected to be declared on August 6, 2026. For Intermediate students, the annual examinations will begin on May 20, 2026, with results scheduled to be announced on September 23, 2026.

The boards have also confirmed separate result dates for different classes. The Class 9 results will be announced on September 2, 2026, while the First Year Part-I results are set to be declared earlier on August 22, 2026. These timelines are aimed at streamlining the academic calendar and ensuring timely admissions and promotions.

In addition to the annual exams, the Punjab boards have released the schedule for supplementary examinations. The Matric supplementary exams will start on October 6, 2026, and their results will be announced on December 8, 2026. Meanwhile, the Intermediate supplementary examinations are scheduled to begin on November 3, 2026, with results expected on January 12, 2027.

The announced examination and result schedule will be implemented uniformly across all educational boards in Punjab, ensuring consistency and transparency in the examination process for the 2026 academic year.
