Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has officially launched the fourth phase of the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme 2025 during a ceremony at the Jinnah Convention Center in Islamabad. The program seeks to distribute 100,000 laptops to top-performing students nationwide, reinforcing the government’s vision for youth empowerment and digital inclusion.
The prime minister emphasized that the initiative has been instrumental in reducing Pakistan’s digital divide since its inception in 2011. With an investment of over Rs50 billion, the scheme has provided students with access to technology and educational resources, enabling them to compete in an increasingly digital global economy.
Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating equal opportunities for students by ensuring continued investment in education and technology. He noted that empowering the youth with digital tools not only supports academic excellence but also strengthens Pakistan’s progress toward innovation, productivity, and sustainable growth.
