University of Karachi’s ICCBS Launches Basic German Language Course 2025 in Collaboration with Government of Sindh

The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) at the University of Karachi has announced a four-month hybrid program titled “Basic German Language Course – 2025,” beginning on November 4, 2025. The initiative is designed to provide participants with an essential introduction to the German language, supporting students and professionals who wish to pursue academic or career opportunities in Germany or enhance their global communication skills.

The course will run from November 4, 2025, to February 12, 2026, with classes held every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. It offers flexibility through both online and in-person learning options, making it accessible to a wider audience. Applicants must have at least an intermediate-level qualification or an equivalent educational background to enroll. The total course fee is Rs. 5,000, and interested candidates must submit their applications by October 28, 2025.

Conducted in collaboration with the Sindh Innovation, Research, and Education Network (SIREN) under the Government of Sindh, the program will feature instruction from a qualified German language expert affiliated with the Goethe-Institut, Pakistan.

Organized by the Latif Ebrahim Jamal National Science Information Center, the Basic German Language Course aims to build foundational skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking German. The training focuses on practical communication, everyday vocabulary, and cultural understanding to help participants engage confidently in academic or professional settings.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive an official certificate, recognizing their achievement and language proficiency. This course represents an excellent opportunity for students, graduates, and professionals in Pakistan to begin their journey into one of the world’s most widely spoken and influential languages.
