Farhan Saeed, the renowned singer and actor, recently spoke candidly about his challenging experience working on the film Tich Button, revealing that he would not collaborate with the cast again. During his appearance on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, Farhan reflected on the difficulties he faced during the project and shared his honest assessment of the team dynamics.

He stated, “When you connect with a project, if you are not sincere with it or with the team, or if you have issues with it, it becomes unsuccessful. Iman didn’t have any issues with the project, but it was the wrong casting altogether. We made a film, it was a success, but it was difficult.” Farhan was blunt about the challenges, noting unprofessional behavior on set, saying, “There were unprofessional people involved. They will hear it and mind it, but that’s the truth. When I sign a project, I give my hundred percent. These are old-school, 90s-style things, being late on set, throwing tantrums. It’s obvious from their career graphs how they are progressing. We conducted screen tests for the actors, but they had a few issues.”

Farhan described the harsh shooting conditions, particularly in Nankana Sahib during subzero temperatures, highlighting the resilience of some of his co-stars. “After the shoot, problems started to arise. The shoot itself was difficult, especially in Nankana Sahib in minus 2 degrees. I can only give room to Iman here, she had MS and collapses in winter, but she was a star in her own right. She wanted PC-level protocols, which isn’t always possible, but I give full credit to Qavi Sahab, Gul-e-Rana, Sohail Sahab, Samia Mumtaz, and Raahila Agha. They were amazing and dedicated people. I learned a lot. I would change many things about the film, casting and many other aspects. But for newbies, it wasn’t that bad.”

The actor humorously admitted, “The Button got Tiched,” acknowledging the multiple issues that plagued the film, and added, “If given a chance I won’t ever sign the cast I worked with.” Tich Button, originally slated for a 2019 release, faced multiple delays and eventually premiered in November 2022. Despite starring Farhan Saeed, Sonya Hussyn, Feroze Khan, and Iman Ali, the film struggled at the box office.

Farhan Saeed rose to prominence as the lead vocalist of the band Jal and later gained widespread recognition with the popular Ramzan comedy series Suno Chanda. His acting portfolio also includes acclaimed dramas such as Udaari, Prem Gali, Mere Humsafar, and Shirin Farhad, establishing him as one of Pakistan’s most versatile and beloved entertainment figures.
