Information published under the Prime Minister’s National Health Program has raised concerns after users reported discrepancies in the program’s hospital listings in Islamabad. The Health Card scheme is designed to provide free medical treatment at approved public and private hospitals across Pakistan, with official details accessible through the program’s website and the empaneled hospitals portal managed by State Health.
Maroof International Hospital, located in F-10 Markaz, is listed on the empaneled hospitals page as a participating hospital under the Health Card program. However, when users access the hospital’s listing, no treatment packages or services appear to be available under the scheme. This contradicts claims that Maroof Hospital offers free treatment to Health Card holders.
Visitors to Maroof Hospital have reported the absence of a Health Card counter, and hospital staff reportedly do not process Health Card cases. The inconsistency between the online listings and the services available on the ground has raised questions about the accuracy of the empaneled hospitals database. Patients relying on official government portals for free treatment face confusion due to these discrepancies.
