The PM Health Card 2026, also known as the Sehat Sahulat Program, has been relaunched in Pakistan to provide free medical treatment worth up to Rs 1 million per family. This government-funded health insurance initiative allows eligible families to receive cashless treatment at approved public and private hospitals across selected regions. The program aims to provide financial protection for low- and middle-income households during serious health emergencies and reduce out-of-pocket medical expenses.

Eligibility for the PM Health Card 2026 is based on government records and residence. Covered regions include Islamabad Capital Territory, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and selected federal areas. Provincial programs remain active, such as Sehat Card Plus in Punjab and coverage up to Rs 1 million in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In Sindh, treatment access is limited under the federal scheme, while residents of Karachi can access designated hospitals.

The health card provides two levels of coverage. Priority care includes high-cost and life-threatening treatments such as heart surgery, cancer treatment, dialysis, neurosurgery, and organ transplants, with an annual limit of Rs 1,000,000 per family. Secondary care covers general hospitalization and medical treatments requiring admission, with a limit of Rs 60,000 per year. Routine checkups and outpatient visits are not included.

Checking eligibility is easy. Beneficiaries can send their 13-digit CNIC without dashes to 8500 for SMS confirmation or use the official Sehat Sahulat online portal to verify eligibility. Using the health card at hospitals is fully cashless. Eligible individuals visit an empaneled hospital, present their CNIC or child’s B-Form at the Sehat Sahulat desk, and receive treatment without advance payments or reimbursement procedures.

The PM Health Card 2026 provides free hospitalization, access to private hospitals in the network, financial protection during emergencies, and nationwide coverage in selected areas. Only eligible families listed in government records can use the program, and no physical card is required. OPD visits are excluded, but all in-patient services within the program limits are covered. By offering up to Rs 1 million in annual coverage for priority care, the PM Health Card 2026 ensures that families can access quality medical treatment without financial stress, strengthening healthcare access and affordability across Pakistan.
