A fire that broke out early Sunday at Saudi Aramco's Jazan refinery in the country's southwest has been extinguished with no injuries, the Saudi Energy Ministry said.
The company's industrial security teams brought the blaze under control while authorities completed procedures to handle the incident, the ministry said on X, without giving a cause.
The Jazan refinery, on the Red Sea near the Yemen border, processes 400,000 barrels of crude per day and makes fuels including gasoline and ultra-low-sulphur diesel. Aramco had shut the plant on July 27 following a Houthi attack.
