The United Nations Development Programme is offering a six-month paid internship in Bangkok, Thailand, under the role of Communications and Outreach. Interns will work directly under the Head of Communications at the UNDP Thailand Country Office, contributing to efforts that enhance the organization’s public visibility and strengthen engagement with media and partners. Key responsibilities are divided across content creation, digital and administrative support, and occasional ad hoc tasks.
Around half of the intern’s time will be dedicated to producing social media and advocacy content in both English and Thai, including visuals, videos, and written material. The role also involves managing digital platforms such as the UNDP Thailand website, maintaining media contact lists, and drafting or translating press releases. Support with daily administrative and technical functions within the communications team is also expected.
Eligible applicants include final-year undergraduate students, current master’s students, or those who have completed a relevant degree within the past year. Strong candidates will bring experience in digital communication, social media management, and content development, along with solid writing and editing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and graphic design tools is also beneficial.
