The Punjab government has launched the School Teacher Internship (STI) Program, inviting applications from aspiring educators across the province. The initiative has been approved by the Chief Minister Punjab and the provincial cabinet, with plans to recruit 12,500 School Teacher Interns.

The program targets both subject specialists and IT experts, aiming to enhance the quality of education and raise learning standards in schools. According to the School Education Department, the STI Program is designed to provide hands-on teaching experience to educated youth interested in pursuing careers in education. Interns will be placed in primary, elementary, high, and higher secondary schools throughout Punjab, allowing them to contribute directly to classroom learning while gaining valuable professional experience.

This initiative reflects the provincial government’s commitment to strengthening the education sector by developing a skilled workforce of teachers and educators who can meet the evolving needs of students across Punjab.
