The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced new employment opportunities for individuals with lower educational qualifications across the province. A total of 2,800 chowkidar (watchman) positions have been approved for schools in 28 districts, providing a significant chance for unemployed residents to secure government jobs.

The provincial Finance Department confirmed that the recruitment process has received formal approval, emphasizing that all appointments will be conducted through public advertisements, open competition, and a strict merit-based system to ensure transparency.

Under the new plan, Mansehra district will receive the highest number of vacancies with 377 posts, followed by Bannu with 263 positions and Mardan with 256. Peshawar will have 162 chowkidar posts, Laki Marwat 160, and Abbottabad 154, reflecting the government’s effort to distribute opportunities across the province. This recruitment drive aims to strengthen school security while providing employment to a large number of low-educated job seekers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
