National Bank of Pakistan is inviting applications for career opportunities in its Aiteamad Islamic Banking division, offering positions for Branch Operations Managers and Settlement Officers across multiple locations in Pakistan. The bank seeks qualified, skilled, and experienced professionals to contribute to its mission of supporting the financial well-being of the nation and promoting sustainable economic growth. Eligible candidates for the Branch Operations Manager role should possess a minimum of a graduation degree from an HEC-recognized university, with preference for candidates holding a Master’s degree or an Islamic Banking certification. Applicants must have at least four years of banking experience, including a minimum of two years in branch operations. Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of SBP Prudential Regulations, Islamic banking products, branch management skills, leadership ability, customer-handling expertise, and proficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Branch Operations Managers will be responsible for overseeing branch operations, implementing internal controls, ensuring compliance with banking laws and Shariah standards, supervising account processing, managing cash and teller operations, monitoring customer service standards, maintaining records, authorizing transactions, coordinating with Treasury and Risk Management teams, and handling all administrative and operational tasks to ensure smooth workflow. The role requires active management of branch staff, monitoring of ATMs, cash balance, and adherence to regulatory and audit requirements. For the Teller / OG-II role, candidates should hold a minimum of a graduation degree from an HEC-recognized institution, with preference given to those having a Master’s degree or Islamic Banking certification. At least one year of relevant banking experience is required. Tellers must possess good knowledge of SBP Prudential Regulations, branch banking operations, customer service skills, cash handling expertise, and proficiency in MS Office tools. Tellers are responsible for receiving and disbursing cash, processing deposits, withdrawals, and fund transfers, maintaining accurate records, balancing cash and vouchers, managing customer queries, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, and performing other duties assigned by supervisors. The role involves cross-selling banking products, ensuring security of cash and documents, and maintaining branch discipline and customer service standards. Settlement Officer positions require a minimum of graduation or equivalent in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration, with preference for candidates holding ACA, CFA, or Islamic Banking certification. A minimum of two years of experience in treasury operations, preferably in banking or financial institutions, is required. Candidates should have sound knowledge of branch banking operations, treasury compliance, AML/CFT regulations, analytical skills, and effective communication and interpersonal skills. Settlement Officers will manage treasury FX deals, money market operations, and liaise with SBP for reporting, regulatory compliance, and smooth execution of transactions. Responsibilities include monitoring daily operations, maintaining records, ensuring adherence to banking and Shariah regulations, and performing other assigned tasks to support treasury and financial operations. Positions are available in Karachi, Dhudhyar, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Gujranwala, Vehari, Gilgit, Mandhal Gujar Khan, and Kotli.
