Realme has officially introduced the Realme 16, marking the launch of the standard model in the series following the earlier release of the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+. The smartphone is expected to reach additional global markets in the coming weeks as part of Realme’s wider rollout strategy. The Realme 16 features a refreshed Air Design inspired by modern smartphone aesthetics seen in recent Google Pixel devices and the iPhone Air concept. The rear panel includes a horizontal camera visor housing the main camera system, along with a unique selfie mirror positioned on the edge of the device that allows users to capture self-portraits using the rear camera. The phone measures 8.1mm in thickness, weighs 183 grams, and carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications for resistance against dust, water immersion, and high-pressure water jets. On the front, the device is equipped with a 6.57-inch AMOLED display offering Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel supports up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness and is protected by AGC DT Star D+ tempered glass. An ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is integrated beneath the display. The Realme 16 is available in White Swan and Black Cloud color options. Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset, paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0, bringing a range of AI-powered features designed to enhance everyday usability. In the camera department, the Realme 16 includes a dual rear camera setup featuring a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary sensor and a 2MP monochrome sensor, supported by Realme’s LumaColor image processing technology. On the front, the phone offers a 50MP selfie camera housed in the display cutout, while the rear selfie mirror provides an additional option for capturing high-quality selfies using the main camera. The Realme 16 is backed by a large 7,000mAh battery and supports 60W fast wired charging, ensuring long-lasting performance and quick power top-ups. Pricing for the Realme 16 starts at $443, positioning it competitively in the premium mid-range smartphone segment. Go back |
