Honor has unveiled the Honor X6d, an affordable 5G smartphone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, making it one of the most budget-friendly devices featuring this 6nm processor. The device closely resembles the Honor Play 60A launched in China, though it introduces a few hardware upgrades and may also be marketed under the name Honor 500 Smart, as indicated by a recent GCF certification listing under model number NLA-NX1. The Honor X6d features a 6.75-inch TFT LCD display with a 720 x 1600 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, offering smooth scrolling for an entry-level smartphone. While official specifications do not confirm a fingerprint scanner, it is expected to be side-mounted if included. The phone is available in multiple color options, including Midnight Black and Ocean Cyan, with some listings also mentioning Red, Green, Gray, White, and Black variants. Under the hood, the smartphone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor with an octa-core CPU configuration of two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, though there is no card slot for storage expansion. The device supports 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G networks and ships with Android 15 out of the box, layered with MagicOS 9. In terms of cameras, the Honor X6d includes a 50MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, a notable upgrade from the 13MP sensor on the Play 60A. The rear camera supports video recording at up to 1080p at 30 frames per second. On the front, the device retains a 5MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone is equipped with a 5,260mAh Li-Po battery supporting 15W wired charging, providing solid battery life for everyday usage. In the UAE market, the Honor X6d is listed at AED 509, which is approximately $138, positioning it as a competitive option in the budget 5G smartphone segment. Go back |
