Tecno Camon 50 Pro Debuts With Premium Build, Powerful Cameras and Dynamic Island‑Style Design Under $350

Tecno has launched the Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro in several African markets ahead of their expected unveiling at MWC next month. Both models share most specifications, while the Pro version adds a curved display and a dedicated telephoto camera.

The Camon 50 Pro features a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a curved design. It integrates an under-display optical fingerprint scanner. The standard Camon 50 has the same display size, resolution, refresh rate, front camera, and fingerprint sensor but uses a flat panel. Both devices are available in Moonlight Black, Malachite Green, Nebula Titanium, Fir Green, Lavender Mist, and Mint Cream, with the Camon 50 Pro also offered in Ethereal Blue.

Internally, the phones are powered by the MediaTek Helio G200 Ultimate chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. They run HiOS 16 based on Android 16, offering up to three major Android upgrades, and include Tecno’s AI features. Both devices carry IP69K, IP69, and IP68 certifications for dust and water resistance.

The camera setup on both models includes a 50MP main camera with Sony’s LYT700C 1/1.56-inch sensor and optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP front-facing camera. The Camon 50 Pro adds a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

Both phones are powered by 6,150mAh batteries with 45W wired charging. Pricing starts at $290 for the Camon 50 and $341 for the Camon 50 Pro. The devices offer multiple color options and strong specifications designed to appeal to mid-range smartphone users looking for high refresh rates, large batteries, and versatile camera systems.
