Motorola has officially unveiled the Edge 70 on its website, confirming its complete specifications and showcasing a sleek, premium design. Serving as the global variant of the X70 Air, the Edge 70 combines a lightweight build, high-end materials, and powerful internals in one of the thinnest smartphones in its class. The device features a refined aesthetic, measuring 160mm in height, 74mm in width, and just 6mm in thickness, with a weight of 159 grams—around 20 grams lighter than the Edge 60. Built with an aircraft-grade aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass 7i protection, the Edge 70 also meets partial MIL-STD 810H durability standards. The rear panel has a nylon-textured finish and comes in three Pantone-certified colors: Gadget Gray, Lily Pad, and Bronze Green. The phone sports a 6.67-inch pOLED display with a 2712 x 1220 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and Pantone validation to ensure accurate and consistent color output. The panel supports HDR10+ and reaches a peak brightness of 4500 nits, delivering sharp, vibrant visuals. Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 70 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It runs Android 16 with Motorola’s clean software experience and promises up to four major Android upgrades. Despite its slim frame, the device offers efficient performance for multitasking and everyday use. For photography, the Edge 70 includes a dual 50MP rear setup—one wide-angle lens (f/1.8) with optical image stabilization and a 12mm ultrawide lens (f/2.0) with phase detection autofocus. The front camera also features a 50MP sensor designed for sharp, color-accurate selfies and video calls. A 4,800 mAh Si/C Li-Ion battery powers the device, supporting 68W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. Motorola claims it offers up to 29 hours of video playback, 66 hours of music, or 8 hours of 4K video recording on a full charge. Priced at around $923, the Edge 70 is available in a single 12GB + 512GB configuration. Buyers will also receive a complimentary accessory—either a Moto Tag, Moto Buds Loop, Moto Watch Fit, or a 68W TurboPower charger—depending on regional availability.
