Indian central bank likely intervenes to support rupee, traders say

MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank of India likely intervened in the foreign exchange market on Wednesday, six traders told Reuters, as lingering anxiety over the Iran war kept oil prices elevated and pressured the South Asian currency.

The rupee managed to hold its ground on the back of the intervention and was last at 95.41 per dollar, little changed from its close at 95.4350 in the previous session.
