A Pakistani technology startup, RLabs, has won the GOAL Startup Award at the Silicon Valley November Summit, earning international recognition as it prepares to enter the United States market. The company develops extended-reality (XR) simulators, synthetic data tools and machine-training technology.
RLabs is led by Harris Ahmed, a graduate of the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), and was incubated at Pakistan's National Incubation Centre for Aerospace Technologies (NICAT). The startup was one of 18 companies from around the world chosen to pitch under Plug and Play's Global Overseas Acceleration and Learning (GOAL) program. The summit, organised by the global innovation platform and venture capital firm Plug and Play, was held from November 2 to 5, 2026.
According to Ahmed, the company has spent several years using XR technology to train people to operate complex machinery, and is now applying that experience to training artificial intelligence and machines. NICAT says RLabs is also developing a proprietary large language model to power a modular, cross-platform simulation engine. The incubator claims the technology can cut simulation development time by as much as 75%, though the figure has not been independently verified.
Ahmed said RLabs presented its technology to an audience of more than 3,000 attendees, including startup founders, venture capital investors, corporate executives, innovation leaders and government representatives. The Silicon Valley recognition comes as the startup prepares to launch in the US, a move that could open a larger market for its simulation, artificial intelligence and machine-learning products.
Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja congratulated the startup on its achievement. The award highlights the growing visibility of Pakistani deep-tech ventures on global innovation platforms.
