US President Donald Trump has offered Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) CEO Dana White the role of White House press secretary, according to a post on Truth Social on Saturday, November 7. Trump also suggested that White bring several current and former UFC champions as assistants, naming Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes and Kayla Harrison.

In the post, Trump described White as a “violent Fighter and Warrior” and urged him to accept the position. He said the fighters would help defend his administration against the “Lunatic Left.” The proposal appears to be a public suggestion rather than a formal job offer, and it remains unclear whether White will accept.

Dana White has led the UFC as its chief executive for many years and has maintained a close relationship with Trump. Their association has included major UFC events involving the president. Reuters reported that neither White nor UFC parent company TKO Group Holdings responded to requests for comment.

Two of the named fighters, Makhachev and Nurmagomedov, are from Russia’s Dagestan region. Brazilian-born Nunes became a US citizen in 2025, while Harrison is an American athlete. The inclusion of international fighters in a US political context adds a notable dimension to the proposal.

The offer comes amid ongoing tensions between the Trump administration and the media. The role of press secretary is typically held by a communications professional, and the suggestion of UFC fighters for the position is unconventional. The post did not provide further details on how the arrangement would work.

White has not publicly commented on the offer. The UFC and TKO Group Holdings have also remained silent. The story has generated significant attention on social media, given the high profiles of both Trump and White in sports and entertainment.
