The Punjab Counter Narcotics Force successfully intercepted a major narcotics smuggling attempt along the Indus River, seizing 43 kilograms of charas with an estimated market value of Rs. 13 million. Intelligence indicated that the drugs were being transported from District Swabi to Punjab using boats on the river, prompting CNF personnel to carry out a timely operation.

The recovered narcotics have been secured in accordance with legal procedures, and investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other individuals involved in the smuggling network. Officials stated that the operation underscores the Punjab government’s zero-tolerance approach to narcotics and forms part of the CNF’s broader strategy, which includes continuous surveillance of potential trafficking routes.
