Sindh Reveals Launch Date of Pink Taxi Scheme for Women

The Sindh government has confirmed that its much-anticipated Pink Taxi Scheme for Women will officially be launched in December, according to Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon.

Last week, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari announced that the provincial government would soon roll out the Pink Taxi service.

Bilawal made the announcement while attending a ceremony in Karachi, where the government distributed free electric Pink Scooters to women.

At the event, he handed over keys to the recipients, emphasizing that the project was meant to ease the daily travel challenges of female students and working women.

Bilawal also highlighted other recent measures taken by the Sindh government, including the launch of the Benazir Hari Card scheme, which aims to support small farmers who suffered heavy losses during recent floods.
