Modernization and Safety Enhancement Initiative

The country’s aviation authority, responsible for the oversight and management of aviation-related affairs, has made a momentous decision concerning Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.

In a bid to enhance aviation safety and operational efficiency, they have opted to embark on the construction of state-of-the-art runways at the airport. Runways, the extended paved strips where aircraft take off and land, are indispensable for the secure functioning of any airport.

Presently, Jinnah International Airport boasts two runways, identified as 25 Right and 7 Left. However, these critical runways have reached a juncture where reconstruction and modernization are imperative to meet the most stringent safety and operational criteria.

In pursuit of this pivotal construction endeavor, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has extended invitations to both local and foreign firms to participate in this venture.

Interested companies must demonstrate the requisite qualifications, which encompass prior experience in runway construction, proficiency in airport infrastructure projects, and the financial capacity to undertake such a monumental undertaking.
