The federal government has increased the price of re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) for November, with the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) raising rates by up to 1.97 percent for consumers of both Sui gas companies. The regulator said the adjustment was mainly due to changes in unaccounted-for gas (UFG) percentages.

For Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) customers, the transmission tariff dropped slightly by 0.07 percent to 11.4305 dollars per MMBtu from 11.4381 dollars last month, while the distribution price rose 1.39 percent to 12.3996 dollars per MMBtu compared to 12.2300 dollars in October. Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) consumers will see a 1.97 percent increase in distribution charges to 11.4520 dollars per MMBtu, with transmission rising slightly to 10.0652 dollars per MMBtu from 10.0585 dollars.

OGRA noted that the revised RLNG rates include terminal fees, port handling costs, transmission losses, and PSO margins. The weighted average sale price is based on six LNG cargoes imported under PSO’s long-term supply agreements with Qatar, with four shipments priced at a 13.37 percent Brent slope and two at a 10.20 percent slope.
