Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi reviewed progress on key development projects in Islamabad and instructed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to accelerate construction work. After attending the Pakistan–Sri Lanka cricket match in Rawalpindi, Naqvi chaired a late-night meeting at the CDA headquarters and then visited three ongoing projects: the Shaheen Chowk expansion, the T-Chowk flyover, and improvements at the Faizabad Interchange.

CDA officials reported that approximately 80 percent of the T-Chowk flyover has been completed, while Shaheen Chowk expansion work stands at 65 percent. The Faizabad Interchange loop expansion is reported to be 70 percent complete. Although the projects were originally slated for completion between March and April, Naqvi emphasized that the work should be accelerated to meet a revised deadline by the end of next month. He instructed the CDA to ensure that all measures are taken to achieve this timeline.

During his inspection, the minister also inquired about the pending expansion of Margalla Avenue from GT Road to the Peshawar Motorway and directed the CDA to begin work on the remaining section to improve connectivity and ease traffic congestion in the capital.
