Russia has reportedly suspended Pakistan Post’s services after the Pakistani department failed to settle outstanding dues totaling Rs. 55 million, with the restriction taking effect in August 2025. Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan confirmed the development in a written response to the National Assembly, explaining that Pakistan Post had not cleared the required payments, which have been pending since 2021. The response also highlighted that Pakistan Post’s total outstanding liabilities exceeded Rs. 310 million as of November 12, 2021. The ministry stated that the pending payments will be cleared once the Finance Division releases the necessary funds, indicating that service restoration is contingent on government financing.
