Revenue authorities in Balochistan intercepted a major drug smuggling attempt, seizing hashish worth over Rs. 270 million. Customs Enforcement officials at Gadani stopped a Hino truck (registration SEA-312, traveling from Zhob to Quetta) at the Customs Check Post Khurkhera based on intelligence reports. Officers recovered 109.5 kilograms of hashish hidden in concealed compartments within the vehicle. The seized truck, valued at approximately Rs. 15 million, has been confiscated, and further investigations are ongoing to identify those involved in the operation. The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) reaffirmed its strong commitment to combating drug smuggling and safeguarding society from the threat of narcotics. This action highlights the continued efforts of Pakistan’s customs and law enforcement agencies to prevent illegal trafficking and strengthen border security. Go back |
