Students at Islamabad’s International Islamic University were left alarmed after a leopard was spotted roaming inside the campus, creating panic among students and staff. According to witnesses, the wild animal was seen near academic blocks, prompting authorities to issue an immediate alert and begin evacuation procedures to prevent any harm.

University security teams, in coordination with wildlife department officials, quickly reached the scene and took control of the situation. Classes were temporarily suspended, and affected areas were sealed off as experts worked to safely track, capture, and relocate the leopard away from the campus.

Authorities advised students and staff to remain indoors and avoid unnecessary movement until the situation was fully brought under control. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. The episode underscores the increasing instances of human-wildlife encounters in urban and semi-urban areas, highlighting the need for awareness and swift response mechanisms.
