A motorcycle stolen more than 32 months ago from Federal B Area in Karachi recently generated an unexpected e-challan after being captured by a Safe City camera near Punjab Chowrangi. The unknown rider, spotted without a helmet, triggered a Rs5,000 fine, which was automatically sent to the original owner, highlighting gaps in traffic enforcement and police coordination.

The bike was originally reported stolen in April 2023, yet it remains unrecovered. The owner filed a formal complaint at Azizabad Police Station, and the case is now being handled by the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC), which continues efforts to locate and retrieve the motorcycle. This incident underscores both the efficiency of automated traffic monitoring and the ongoing challenges in addressing vehicle theft in the city.
