The National Disaster Management Authority has received a third consignment of humanitarian relief goods from China, reaffirming Beijing’s continued support for Pakistan’s disaster response and relief efforts.

The latest shipment arrived by sea at Karachi port and includes 100 boats, 5,000 tents, and 8,000 blankets. Following clearance, the supplies were transported to the NDMA warehouse, where they will be distributed to affected areas based on assessed requirements and ground realities.

Earlier, the first consignment received on September 28, 2025, consisted of 9,000 blankets and 300 tents. This was followed by a second shipment on October 4, 2025, which included 16,000 blankets, 700 tents, 1,000 life jackets, and 4,000 sleeping bags.

With the arrival of the third shipment, China has so far provided Pakistan with a total of 33,000 blankets, 6,000 tents, 100 boats, 1,000 life jackets, and 4,000 sleeping bags through three consignments.

The NDMA has expressed its appreciation for the timely humanitarian assistance extended by the Chinese government, noting that such support plays a vital role in strengthening Pakistan’s disaster relief and response capacity.

The authority reiterated its commitment to mobilizing all available resources for the relief and rehabilitation of disaster-affected populations, ensuring that aid reaches those in need in line with evolving assessments and on-ground requirements.
