PM Shehbaz Sharif Inaugurates KINOR in Muzaffarabad, Emphasizes Early Cancer Screening and Advanced Local Treatment

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the Kashmir Institute of Nuclear Medicine, Oncology, and Radiology (KINOR) in Muzaffarabad, emphasizing that cancer treatment is a “noble mission” and commending the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) for its contributions to advanced healthcare. He highlighted the challenges faced by patients from remote areas, stressing the importance of early screening, public awareness, and timely treatment to improve outcomes.

KINOR, the 21st center supported by PAEC, is designed to provide modern cancer care within the region, reducing the need for patients to travel long distances for treatment and alleviating the associated financial and logistical burdens. The facility aims to enhance access to high-quality oncology services, ensuring that residents of Kashmir receive state-of-the-art medical care close to home.
