BISP New Payments Resume from Today: 2026 Update on Latest Disbursements

BISP new payments have resumed from today after a brief two-day pause, bringing relief to thousands of families across Pakistan who rely on financial assistance. The short suspension was due to scheduled holidays and did not involve any policy changes. Payments are being smoothly disbursed in the 104 districts covered under the first phase of the program. Beneficiaries can collect their payments from designated BISP camps using their original CNIC and registered mobile numbers, while expired CNICs must be renewed to receive funds.

This phase includes payments under two key programs. The Benazir Kafalat Program provides eligible women with Rs. 13,500 based on their poverty score and verification status. Simultaneously, the Taleemi Wazaif Program releases education stipends for children enrolled in schools, covering six to nine months of support. Combining both payments reduces repeated visits to camps and streamlines access for beneficiaries.

To collect payments safely, beneficiaries should visit official BISP camps, verify biometric details, and collect a receipt after disbursement. BISP does not charge any fee, and agents or middlemen should be avoided.

No double installments are being issued under the Kafalat Program, and rumors suggesting otherwise are false. Payment delays or issues are usually caused by expired CNICs, biometric mismatches, incomplete surveys, or inactive beneficiary status, all of which can be resolved through proper verification.

The second phase of BISP payments, which will cover remaining districts, is expected to begin in early May, although no official date has been announced. Beneficiaries are advised to rely on official BISP updates to avoid misinformation.
