Pakistan Post is set to become fully digital by January 2027 as part of a major reform to modernize postal services nationwide and meet international standards. The Ministry of Communications has launched the Automation of Post Office Project, funded by the Export-Import Bank of Korea, aiming to replace largely manual operations with a fully integrated digital system. The initiative includes the provision of modern IT terminals, specialized software, staff training, and ongoing operational and maintenance support. Once implemented, it will enable end-to-end digitalization across Pakistan Post’s network, enhancing mail management, financial services, parcel tracking, and internal administration. The digital overhaul will allow real-time processing, improve service efficiency, and increase transparency, while reducing delays and minimizing errors by replacing outdated paper-based procedures with automated workflows. All post offices nationwide will be equipped with advanced IT infrastructure, secure connectivity, and centralized systems to support real-time data sharing and transaction processing. Go back |
