In 2026, registering your newborn for a NADRA B-Form, also known as the Child Registration Certificate (CRC), is essential as it serves as a crucial digital identity in Pakistan. Parents are required to register their child within one month of birth to ensure access to important services including education, healthcare, and travel. Schools, both public and private, now require a valid B-Form for enrollment, linking the child’s educational records to their official identity. Teenagers need a B-Form to apply for the Juvenile Punjab Driving Permit, and it is also mandatory for applying for a child’s passport. Access to government health services such as the Sehat Card and vaccination programs increasingly relies on NADRA’s digital data, and the B-Form ensures a smooth transition to a CNIC at age 18.

To register a newborn, parents need a computerized birth certificate from the local Union Council, original CNICs of both parents, a computerized marriage registration certificate (Nikkah Nama), and optionally, a hospital record for verification. Applications can be submitted online through the Pak-ID mobile app for children up to one year old, where parents upload the birth certificate and CNIC photos to receive a digital B-Form. For older children or cases requiring biometric verification, parents must visit a NADRA Registration Center with at least one parent present. A token is issued, and biometric data is captured to confirm the family link. Parents should carefully check all details to avoid mistakes that may affect school registration or other services.

B-Form fees vary based on processing speed. Normal service costs Rs. 50 and takes 10–15 working days, urgent service costs Rs. 300 and takes 7–10 working days, and executive service costs Rs. 500 with a 5–7 day processing time.

It is crucial to register the B-Form within the one-month window to avoid service disruptions. The Union Council birth certificate is sufficient if a hospital record is unavailable. Online registration via the Pak-ID app is available for children under one year, while older children require a visit to a NADRA center for biometric verification. Completing this process ensures your child’s access to education, travel, healthcare, and a seamless transition to a CNIC, making the B-Form a vital step in securing your child’s digital identity and future services in Pakistan.
