The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) announced temporary power shutdowns on various feeders and areas due to scheduled system maintenance and development work. The outages are planned for February 7, 2026, and will affect multiple circles including Islamabad, Rawalpindi City, Rawalpindi Cantt, Attock, Chakwal, and GSO. In Islamabad Circle, power will be suspended from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Punjab House, Khayaban-e-Iqbal, F-6/2, Bari Imam, Said Pur, and Pir Sohawa feeders. Rawalpindi City Circle will experience outages from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm affecting Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Tehmasamabad, Dhoke Hukam Dad, Committee Chowk, Zafar-Ul-Haq, and Arya Mohallah feeders. Rawalpindi Cantt Circle will see power cuts from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on Dhoke Farman Ali, RIC, and Tipu Road feeders, while Kahuta City-1 and Lehtrar-1 feeders will be shut down from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Attock Circle will experience outages from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Gudwal-I, Gudwal-II, and Garhi Afghan feeders, and from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on Taznaza Dam, Laniwala, City-II, Sajjad Shaheed, Nescom, and Saray Kharboza feeders. Chakwal Circle will have power suspended from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on Main Bazar, Mureed, Al-Qaim Mills, Jamalwala, and Mengan feeders. In GSO Circle, the 132KV Grid Station Bhagwal will be affected from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, while City and Datot feeders will remain closed from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Additional outages from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm will impact FECHS (E-11/2), D-12/2, D-12/1, Services, Shah Allah Ditta, Northern Strip E-11, Northern Strip-2 feeders, and surrounding areas. IESCO management apologized for the inconvenience and stated that power supply may be restored earlier if the maintenance work is completed ahead of schedule. Go back |
