A coordinated intelligence-based operation in Karachi has led to the recovery of smuggled tyres valued at approximately Rs. 54.75 million. The joint effort, conducted by the Customs Enforcement Collectorate Karachi in collaboration with Sindh Rangers and a federal intelligence agency, followed credible intelligence regarding illegal storage of smuggled goods in the Old Sabzi Mandi area.

During the raid, enforcement teams discovered 3,650 foreign-origin used and second-hand tyres of various brands and sizes, all stored without proper documentation. The seized tyres were immediately transferred to the Customs warehouse for further legal action.

Officials confirmed that the operation successfully disrupted a major attempt to distribute smuggled goods in Karachi’s local markets. The recovery highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to curb the smuggling of imported items and protect legitimate trade within the country.
