 The Shaheen Chowk Underpass project in Islamabad has reached its final stage of construction, with authorities aiming to complete it within one month. Once inaugurated, the underpass is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion and enhance road safety in one of the capital’s busiest areas. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the construction site to assess progress and commended the rapid pace of work. He directed teams to continue round-the-clock construction to ensure timely completion, stressing that maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency is essential. Naqvi noted that the early completion of the project would greatly ease commuting challenges, especially during peak traffic hours, and improve the overall urban transport experience for citizens. The minister described the underpass as a modern infrastructure addition that will streamline traffic flow and contribute to better connectivity across Islamabad. During the inspection, the CDA Member Engineering provided a detailed briefing on the project’s progress and assured that all necessary resources are being deployed to meet the deadline.
