The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a reduction in the maximum price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for November, attributing the cut to falling international prices and a slightly stronger Pakistani rupee.

Effective November 1, the maximum consumer price for an 11.8 kg LPG cylinder will be Rs. 2,378.89, down Rs. 69.44, or 2.83%, from October’s price of Rs. 2,448.33. This translates to a per kilogram decrease of Rs. 5.88. OGRA noted that the price adjustment follows a 3.52% decline in the Saudi Aramco Contract Price (CP), which serves as a benchmark for local LPG rates, along with a 0.15% appreciation in the average dollar exchange rate.

Producer prices have also been lowered, with the notified rate for November set at Rs. 1,891.55 per 11.8 kg cylinder, compared to Rs. 1,960.99 in October. The reductions are expected to ease costs for consumers and reflect OGRA’s efforts to align domestic LPG prices with global market trends and currency fluctuations.
