LUNA Coffee Pakistan Taken to Consumer Court in Karachi Over Alleged Brand Imitation and Misleading Marketing

LUNA Coffee Pakistan is facing a detailed consumer court case in Karachi after a complaint accused the company of misleading customers through deceptive branding practices. According to the complaint, the Pakistani outlet allegedly adopted logos, visual identity elements, and overall branding that closely resemble those used by LUNA Coffee branches operating in Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Dubai. The complainant argues that this similarity could cause consumers to assume an official affiliation or international partnership that does not exist.

The case has been filed under the Sindh Consumer Protection Act, 2014, which covers matters related to misleading advertisements, false claims, and unfair business practices. After reviewing the initial complaint, the consumer court issued a formal notice to LUNA Coffee Pakistan, requiring the company to respond to the allegations.

The court will examine whether the branding used by the local chain constitutes imitation or creates confusion among customers, and whether any consumer rights were violated under the law. The next hearing is scheduled for November 21, when both parties are expected to present their positions and supporting evidence.
