Hamad Bin Khalifa University Scholarship 2026 Announced: Fully Funded Study Opportunities in Qatar for International Students

The Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) Scholarship 2026 offers international and Qatari students the opportunity to study in Qatar on a fully or partially funded scholarship. Open to undergraduate, master’s, and PhD applicants, the HBKU Scholarship is designed to support academically outstanding students across a wide range of fields including science, engineering, humanities, law, public policy, health, and Islamic studies. Applicants must first apply for admission into an eligible degree program at HBKU, after which they will be considered for financial aid and scholarships based on merit, leadership qualities, research potential, and financial need.

These benefits vary and are awarded based on academic standing, program requirements, and whether the student is enrolled full-time or part-time.

Eligibility requirements include a strong academic background and meeting minimum GPA and degree prerequisites. Master's applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree, while PhD candidates require a relevant master's degree and evidence of research ability. Applicants to programs within the College of Islamic Studies must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 from a recognized university. Language proficiency tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, or GRE may also be required depending on the program.

To apply, students must first complete an online application for their chosen program and submit required documents including academic transcripts, personal statement, CV, passport copy, letters of recommendation, and any standardized test results. Graduate admissions open on October 1, 2025, with an application deadline of February 1, 2026 for international applicants and March 15, 2026 for Qatari nationals. Undergraduate admissions are currently open with a deadline of March 1, 2026.
