Khalifa University in the United Arab Emirates is offering fully funded scholarships for the academic year 2026, allowing international students to pursue postgraduate programs without worrying about financial expenses. These scholarships cover tuition fees, accommodation, medical insurance, a monthly stipend, textbooks, visa processing, travel assistance, participation in conferences, and opportunities for international research internships. Partially funded scholarships are also available. The scholarships are open to students from all academic backgrounds, including business, IT, arts, and engineering, with no nationality restrictions.
Eligible postgraduate fields include engineering and physical sciences, computing and mathematical sciences, and medicine and health sciences. Applicants for master’s programs must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or an equivalent qualification and demonstrate English proficiency through TOEFL iBT, IELTS, or an equivalent test. Applicants for PhD programs must hold a master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.25, or a bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 if applying directly to a PhD. PhD applicants must also meet English proficiency requirements, achieve a minimum GRE score of 150, and appear for an admission interview.
Applicants are required to submit degree certificates, official transcripts, equivalency certificates if applicable, English proficiency certificates, GRE scores, a detailed curriculum vitae, a statement of purpose, a research statement, two reference letters, a passport-size photograph, a valid passport, and a valid UAE national ID if residing in the UAE.
The scholarships provide full or partial tuition coverage, a monthly stipend for postgraduate students, accommodation for international students, medical insurance, textbooks, visa and travel support, and opportunities to participate in conferences and research internships.
Applicants must apply online through the Khalifa University portal, create an account, fill out the application form completely, select the program, and upload all required documents. Referees will be contacted automatically to submit reference forms. The application deadline for the 2026 intake is March 2.
