Are you aiming to earn your master’s degree in a dynamic international environment at one of Europe’s top universities? Maastricht University in the Netherlands is now accepting applications for the Maastricht University High Potential Scholarship for the 2026/2027 academic year. This fully funded opportunity is designed for talented, non-EU/EEA international students who wish to study in Holland and develop academically and professionally without the burden of financial concerns.

Maastricht University, established in 1976, is among the youngest and fastest-growing research institutions in the Netherlands. With over 19,000 students from diverse national backgrounds and consistent rankings among the world’s top 200 universities according to QS World University Rankings, UM provides a globally recognized academic experience in the heart of Europe.

Funded by the Dutch government, this scholarship program covers full tuition fees, living expenses, health and liability insurance, visa costs, and any required pre-academic training. For students pursuing a one-year master’s program, the scholarship offers financial support of €15,925. Those enrolled in a two-year program receive up to €30,625 to cover their living costs over 25 months.

Applicants can choose from a wide range of academic disciplines. The scholarship applies to full-time master’s programs across multiple faculties, including the College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences, College of Science and Engineering, School of Business and Economics, Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience, Faculty of Law, and Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must be non-EU/EEA nationals who do not hold dual EU citizenship. Candidates must meet all visa and residence permit requirements for studying in the Netherlands and must not be older than 35 years of age by September 1, 2026. A strong academic background and admission to a full-time master's program at Maastricht University are also required.

A complete application must include a current curriculum vitae (maximum of two pages), a motivation letter outlining your academic goals and ambitions, transcripts and diplomas from previous studies, and the contact information of a referee who can provide a letter of recommendation. All documents should be submitted in PDF or DOC format.

The application process is conducted entirely online. First, create a Maastricht University account and complete your program application. Once registered, fill out the scholarship application form through the designated portal. Your chosen referee will then need to submit a letter of recommendation directly to the university.

This is a rare chance to study at a leading European institution with full financial support. If you're driven, internationally minded, and ready to shape your future with a globally relevant degree, consider applying for the Maastricht University Scholarship before the February 1, 2026 deadline.
