China’s Donghua University Offers Fully Funded CSC Scholarships for Pakistani Students

Donghua University in Shanghai, China, has announced fully funded Chinese Government Scholarships (CSC) for 2026, specifically inviting applications from international students, including those from Pakistan. The university also offers the Shanghai Government Scholarship, providing one of the most comprehensive scholarship opportunities for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs. The scholarships do not require IELTS or TOEFL, making them accessible to students seeking higher education in China without language barriers.

The Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) for master’s and PhD students covers full tuition, free on-campus accommodation, a monthly stipend of CNY 3,000 for master’s and CNY 3,500 for PhD, and comprehensive medical insurance. The Shanghai Government Scholarship has two types: Type A, which is fully funded and includes tuition, accommodation, medical insurance, and a monthly stipend (CNY 2,500 for undergraduates, CNY 3,000 for master’s, and CNY 3,500 for PhD), and Type B, which is partially funded with full tuition and medical insurance coverage.

Donghua University offers a wide range of programs across multiple disciplines. Bachelor’s programs span four years and include fields such as information science and technology, computer science, fashion and art design, chemistry, environmental science, business, textiles, mechanical and material sciences, foreign languages, humanities, and general sciences. Master’s programs, lasting 2.5 to 3 years, are available in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental science, business, humanities, mechanical engineering, textiles, material sciences, computer science, fashion and art design, Marxism, foreign languages, and general sciences. PhD programs last four years and cover similar fields, including engineering, science, business, humanities, computer science, fashion, and environmental studies.

Eligible applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health. Age limits are 18–30 for bachelor’s applicants, under 35 for master’s applicants, and under 40 for PhD applicants. Candidates must hold the relevant prior degree and a valid passport, and submit all required academic and supporting documents.

Required documents include the CSC application form, Donghua University online application form, physical examination form, non-criminal record, highest degree certificate, transcripts, two recommendation letters, study plan or research proposal, research achievements (if any), language proficiency certificate, passport copy, and application fee receipt. The application fee is 800 RMB.

Applications must be submitted online through three separate portals: the CSC scholarship portal at studyinchina.csc.edu.cn (Agency Number: 10255), the Shanghai Government Scholarship portal at study.edu.sh.gov.cn, and the Donghua University admission portal at admissions.dhu.edu.cn. All hard-copy documents must also be sent as per the instructions. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2026. This fully funded scholarship provides a unique opportunity for Pakistani and international students to pursue higher education in China with extensive financial support.
