The Helmut Veith Stipend Program in Austria 2025 presents a funded academic opportunity for exceptional female students in computer science. Offered at TU Wien University, this scholarship supports students pursuing a master’s degree in one of several specialized disciplines, including Logic and Computation, Software Engineering, Business Informatics, Data Science, Media and Human-Centered Computing, Computer Engineering, and Internet Computing. The program provides a financial award of €7,000 per year for a maximum of two years, alongside a full waiver of tuition fees.

The Helmut Veith Stipend is exclusively for female students who show a strong interest in computer science and have demonstrated academic excellence. To be eligible, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or a closely related discipline and must meet the admission requirements for a master's program at TU Wien. Candidates must also show strong mathematical and technical proficiency, a clear interest in Helmut Veith’s areas of research, and competence in English. Students must maintain academic progress throughout the program by earning a minimum of 25 ECTS credits per term and achieving an average grade of no more than 1.5. Residency in Austria is also required for the duration of the program.
The application process is conducted through TU Wien’s job portal. Applicants are required to create an account, fill in their personal details, and upload the necessary documents to complete the submission. These documents include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a statement of motivation, academic transcripts, degree certificates or provisional proof of graduation, two letters of recommendation, proof of English proficiency (such as TOEFL or a comparable certificate), a copy of a valid passport, and proof of Austrian residency if available.
