The CrossCulture Program 2026 in Germany, also known as CCP Fellowships, offers a fully funded exchange opportunity designed to foster intercultural dialogue and professional collaboration among global professionals and volunteers. Supported by the German Federal Foreign Office and implemented by the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (IFA), this program annually brings together around 55-60 participants from more than 40 countries. The fellowship focuses on strengthening civil society, promoting cultural exchange, and enhancing professional development, providing participants with valuable international experience and networking opportunities.

The fellowship lasts two to three months, during which participants engage in professional placements at host organizations in Germany or CCP partner countries. The program emphasizes leadership development, intercultural competence, and skill enhancement, allowing participants to contribute their expertise while gaining exposure to new organizational practices. Host organizations benefit from the knowledge, regional insights, and networks that CCP fellows bring. Participants also attend workshops, networking events, and professional gatherings, applying their experience to make meaningful contributions to their home organizations upon returning.

Financial support for the CrossCulture Program is comprehensive, covering a monthly stipend of 650 euros for participants from abroad, along with living expenses, international travel, health insurance, accommodation, and visa fees if applicable. Fellows from Germany receive a stipend of 1,200 euros per month. The program offers flexibility, allowing participants to choose between on-site or digital participation depending on funding and personal circumstances. The fellowship fosters connections across policy, society, media, human rights, and other sectors, enabling long-term professional and cultural collaborations.

Eligible candidates must be at least 23 years old, have at least two years of professional or volunteer experience within civil society, and demonstrate proficiency in English. Students are not eligible, and applicants should be in good health and have relevant professional experience. Preference is given to those with sustained commitment to social causes or collaboration with organizations in the target country. Additional language skills, particularly in German, are beneficial but not required.

The CrossCulture Program offers extensive benefits, including mentorship, professional training, access to a global alumni network, and participation in a 3-4 day transcultural workshop. Fellows gain guidance throughout the program and can enhance their skills and professional connections through placements with host organizations. The program provides financial assistance covering travel, accommodation, health insurance, public transportation, and visa fees, ensuring a fully funded experience for both international and German participants.

Applicants must submit a CV, a letter of recommendation (following the official template), and an optional photo via the online application portal before the deadline. The CV should outline education, work experience, volunteer activities, and relevant skills, while recommendation letters are typically provided by a supervisor. Applications submitted outside the portal will not be considered.

The deadline for the CrossCulture Program 2026 in Germany is December 10, 2025. Professionals and volunteers seeking a fully funded fellowship to gain international exposure, expand networks, and contribute to civil society initiatives are encouraged to apply.
